The Ethereal Studio Co Menu

  • A popular process that uses tattooing as if it were a fine paintbrush for a delicate artwork. A more gentle on the skin technique compared to Microblading which makes it suitable for most skin types, too!

This technique heals best for clients with no previous brow work (so that there can be visible gaps of skin in between the hair strokes).

For those looking for a subtle, minimalist transformation or seeking a new brow shape, Nano brows could be your next favourite treatment.

  • A light dusting to elevate your brows, Powder brows is a gentle and easily customisable technique that can be matched to your needs.

The magic with powdering is that it’s a buildable process, allowing you to dial up or dial down the coverage to suit you.

  • A delicious combination of the best bits of Microblading and Powder methods.

This technique typically suits those with larger areas of missing brow, to assist in blending and creating a fluffy brow but with more focussed definition.

Questions you may have about

Cosmetic Tattooing

  • Eyebrow tattoo techniques can be a game changer for your beauty routine and an incredible confidence boost. It is a low maintenance treatment, you visit us once every 1-3 years for this service and in-between you will have beautiful, natural brows.

Brow tattooing is most suitable for those who:

    • Struggle to know how or where to fill in their brows to best enhance their face

    • Are open and trusting of their chosen artists professional opinion.

    • Want a more effortless morning routine.

    • Want to be able to go to the gym or swimming and still have a natural brow shape there.

    • Have sparse brows or gaps that just won’t grow in.

    • Have an unflattering eyebrow shape naturally, that makes them look sad or angry even when their face is relaxed - and prefer a flattering shape designed just for them

    • Are able to follow the pre and post care instructions given to obtain their best possible healed results.

  • Whilst there are quite a few different techniques of brow tattooing available, rest assured I will only create the type of brow that truly suits your face and works best with your unique skin type.

  • Our pricing is currently as follows:

    • First Session (all techniques) - $865

    • Second Session at the 6-10 weeks follow up - $180

Current Maintenance pricing is available on the online booking platform.

  • The first session starts with a chat about your brows, you can show some pictures of brows you particularly like and how you would usually do your brows on a daily basis. What is included in the session is:

    • Mapping out your ideal brow shape with brow pencil for you to approve first.

    • Cleaning up any stray hairs.

    • Advice on which technique to use for your skin and brow type.

    • Custom blended brow pigment, implanted with sterile single-use needles. We use all vegan, cruelty free pigments.

    • A walkthrough of aftercare best practice – with aftercare products provided for you.

  • If you are a new client to us, you can book an in person consultation appointment first or alternatively email us with a photo of your brows!

  • Come in for a brow shape with us, we can optionally do a henna tint as well, which you can try out to see if you like a fuller looking brow as it leaves a powdery stain on the skin.

  • Cosmetic Tattooing of any kind is considered permanent, as with any implanting of pigment with needles.

Your cosmetic tattoo fades in varying degrees for each individual. The variety of factors which can impact how fast you will experience fading includes: sun exposure, medications, certain skincare such as Retinol or exfoliating acids/peels, the condition of your skin, smoking and your general lifestyle.

The pigments we use are of the highest quality, sourced because of their results to fade softly and naturally over time and tend to last really well in the skin but a major factor is determined by your skin and lifestyle.

I prefer to do natural brows, that fade softly over time where you can then change the shape if desired, rather than a bold approach as these type of brows can last a really long time and there is not much room for change other than laser removal.

As the brows fade they need a touch up to revive the colour. A maintenance session refresh is offered to our existing clients between 12-24 months at a discounted rate.

For maintenance, I don’t recommend doing touch ups sooner than 12 months, to look out for the long term integrity of your skin. Putting more pigment over already pigmented brows just doesn't work as well. Plus, we want the brows to fade a lot, but still be visible, so that we can get beautiful fresh results at our maintenance by letting the brows become a faint version first. Most of my clients find they don’t need a touch up until around 1.5 years and this is more ample timing for the skin to rest in between.

  • Most new clients to Ethereal Studio Co require a touch up session, which can be done between 6-10 weeks after your first visit, this session is where we can add more depth or adjust the shape if required. After this, a small amount of clients need an extra session. This revision session may be required such in the case of a difficult skin type, not adhering to pre/after care instructions, change of mind in style, and for cover ups of existing tattooing.

  • If you have had your brows done by another artist, it's not considered a touch up for us – it may be a correction or cover up which is more complex. I need to assess your skin condition and what pigment is visible currently and go from there. First step is to send a clear, no makeup brow photo, before booking a consultation to see if our techniques will be sufficient and suitable to providing your brows with beautiful results.

  • We accept ZipPay for tattoo services, you pay the booking fee upfront and the remainder can be put on ZipPay, just have your account authorised and the app ready to go at your appointment. There is a 5% surcharge for this service.

You may not be a good candidate at the moment if:

    • You are very particular about the shape and look of your brows such as currently experiencing anxiety relating to this and are not open to any alterations recommended or are unable to understand our concept of a natural look for our style of tattooing.

  • Ethereal Studio Co recommends avoiding the following:

    • Brow waxing can be done at least 2 days prior if desired.

    • Brow Lamination wait 5 weeks pre & post.

    • Brow Tinting or Henna wait 2-3 weeks pre & post.

    • Blood thinners such as ibuprofen, alcohol or fish oil within 24 hours prior to your appointment and avoid caffeine right before.

    • Botox or fillers – wait at least 2 weeks pre & post.

    • Alpha Hydroxyls (AHAs), Retin-A/Retinol, Lactic, Glycolic Acids, Vitamin C products near the brow area for 2 weeks prior and after the brow treatment, avoid these actives on the brow area in general.

    • Brow growth serums, microdermabrasion, microneedling, laser or chemical peel facials within 1 month of the treatment.

    • Medications: Wait at least 2 weeks from finishing antibiotics or steroids

  • Day 1: For the first 2 hours, absorb any fluid by pressing the brows with a clean tissue, holding for about 5 seconds, once every 15-30 minutes.

For 1-2 weeks after avoid Facials, Massage, Steam, Sweating, Swimming, any Makeup or other products in/near the brow area.

Day 2-14: Gently and briefly cleanse the brows with a mild unscented cleanser only, once a day is enough. You must keep the brows clean from sweat/dirt/oils to prevent infection and to aid in faster healing. If you don’t wash your brows at all to remove any build up, they will form thicker scabs and take longer to heal. To dry, gently pat with a clean paper towel. Minimize how long your brows stay wet for.

Apply the provided aftercare cream from day 2 for 1 week - a thin layer approximately the size of a pea, 1-3x a day.

Do not use any other product on the brows, including makeup until all the flaking has come off naturally (no picking!).

Note: You cannot donate blood for 4 months after receiving a brow tattoo treatment.

  • The "down time" for this treatment is usually 3-7 days of visible healing. I recommend avoiding taking any holidays or attending important events during this time. The actual healing time is approximately 5 weeks for the full results.

Day 1: Brows are shiny with some redness, they may feel like a mild sunburn. The brow colour can appear warm/red in tone, this is normal.

Day 2-4: Brows are darker and bold. The brows begin to feel itchy and dry.

Day 4-10: As the skin is healing, it begins to flake and shed the top layer of the skin. Do not pick or scratch.

Day 10-40: After all the flakes have sloughed off naturally, a new layer of skin covers the layer in which the pigment was implanted, the brow colour will not be completely visible until the skin is completely healed, the epidermis takes around 40 days to go through it’s healing stage. Try to be patient as the depth and tone can fluctuate during this stage. You can use a brow pencil if you wish after day 10.
